    • Cinnamon contains Coumadin and if we use an excessive amount of it then it would affect coagulation and also damage the liver. Thus, always discuss this with your doctor before adding cinnamon or cassia to your diet if you are using any drugs or anticoagulants, or have a disturbed liver or diabetes.
    • Ceylon's cinnamon powder has less Coumadin rather than cassia cinnamon powder. Cassia cinnamon powder is a common ingredient that is added to food, especially in the U.S.
    • A German study, from 2010 posses that the Coumadin element is broadly different from the cinnamon of the same tree samples. For example, cassia cinnamon was explicitly big in the Coumadin section.
